Do the Whirlwind
Do The Whirlwind is a crunchy little rhythm-platformer rebuilt in Godot from an older
personal game prototype. It is part dance game, part island obstacle course: Klementina
rides a giant turtle through a bright tropical stage while stars, drums, coconuts, fish,
planes, and other strange hazards scroll in time with the music.
Jump on the beat, collect stars, bounce from drums, dodge whatever the island throws at
you, and keep your combo alive long enough for a cheering posse to appear around you. Miss
too much and the rhythm falls apart. Keep moving and the stage turns into a tiny 320x240
arcade postcard.
This build uses a seven-track Kevin MacLeod music set with generated DWI rhythm charts,
giving each level a different flavor: reggae, Latin bounce, carnival procession, merengue,
Brazilian groove, West African drive, and a fast reggae finale.
