Gutterline

Gutterline is a free comic page layout tool that runs in your browser. Start from a standard page, drag the gutters between panels to reshape it, and drop your artwork into the frames.

What you can do

• Start from one of eight layouts: Tiers, Six, Nine, Splash, Action, Manga, Wide and Single.
• Drag a gutter to move it, or drag near one of its ends to angle it. Double-click a gutter to straighten it again.
• Split panels side by side or top and bottom, and delete the ones you don't need.
• Lift a panel out of the grid so it overlaps its neighbours, then drag its corners to reshape it.
• Drop images into panels and pan or zoom them. Images can be any size and shape; whatever falls outside the frame is hidden.
• Choose a US comic, A4, manga B6, landscape or square page at 300 dpi, and set the gutter width, margins, border weight and colours.
• Export the finished page as a PNG at print resolution, and save your project as a file you can open again later.

Gutterline only does layout. There is no drawing, lettering or speech balloons, so plan the page here and letter it in the software you already use.

Your images never leave your computer. Everything runs in the browser and nothing is uploaded.
